THE OPPORTUNITY

The Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging team at Bose developed a DEI&B strategy in alignment with one of the company’s aspirations: to create a workplace that offers everyone a collective sense of belonging, where employees feel genuinely valued for their individual attributes and unique perspectives. Bose hired Guy Pacitti, Director of DEI at Bose, to activate this strategy for the organization. To realize the goals they set out, Pacitti sought a program that would not only recognize and accelerate the critical and diverse talent within the organization but also empower leaders to be consistent practitioners of inclusive leadership.

THE SOLUTION

Guy was not a stranger to TLC; prior to joining Bose and at two different employers, he sponsored over 175 leaders to participate in the TLC Leaders Program. He knew that TLC differentiated itself by delivering a bespoke curriculum to develop business and leadership skills that enhance self-awareness, build confidence in leading teams, and broaden command of the business facilitated in real-time by a hand-picked team of Harvard Business School faculty. Adding to this, with a mission to help more and varied leaders thrive, TLC teaches leaders how to build a more inclusive environment by cherishing and celebrating differences. TLC’s proven track record played a key role in Bose’s selection of a partner to develop high-performing leaders and further an environment of inclusion.

THE IMPACT

Bose incorporated the TLC Leaders Program into the DEI&B strategy with a target audience of high-performing critical talent. As a result of their selection, sponsorship, and participation in TLC, Bose leaders reported higher goodwill towards Bose; more engagement at work, more satisfied in their roles, and an elevated feeling of being valued by Bose. Furthermore, after completing the TLC Leaders Program:

  • Participants rated the Leaders Program a World Class NPS of 92.

  • 100% of Bose leaders reported that they were more confident in their ability to perform in both their current and future leadership roles.

  • 92% of the participants feel more competent leading teams.

  • 100% feel that they are more self-aware leaders.

Given the success of the initial pilot with TLC, Bose expanded the partnership with TLC and is now offering TLC’s 1:1 Leadership Coaching to leaders. TLC is delighted to help Bose bring leadership acceleration and inclusive leadership to life across the organization.
